The Pony Got a Bath (And Hated It)

It's a universally accepted truth that Dancer and baths (and water, generally) are not good friends. She'll tolerate a hosing and stand in water to drink or cool off, but you can go fuck yourself if shampoo or swimming are mentioned as far as she's concerned. But we do both anyway.

She was still too hairy, and I wanted to scrub the winter mess off of her, mean faces or no. I made sure to tie her up loosely so she could eat in the hope that would make my life easier. It sort of did, and she actually looked like a horse again afterwards.
